What services do you provide?

How can I get a quote? Will it incur any costs?

We provide all customers who we can provide a service to, a free no obligation bespoke quotation. Depending on the service you require we can either meet you on site to discuss your signage requirements with you or you are welcome to come and see us or simply phone or e-mail.

Do you provide design? Can I see proofs before going to print?

Once you have confirmed your order, we will, of course, provide you with a proof of your order before any work is carried out. This will include confirmed sizes, design agreed/provided and materials to be used. We will need you to check these proofs extremely carefully as we are unable to be liable for any mistakes that occur once the proof has been sent through for manufacturing. We will not proceed with any works until you have emailed or verbally confirmed us to proceed.

I have my own artwork – in what format shall I give it to you?

We can only use high resolution vector PDF/EPS files. Before sending us any files please convert all text to outline so that our systems do not replace or change any fonts when we open your files. If you send us any files that need to be printed they need to be a minimum 300 DPI (definition of the print).
We are unable to use any images you have found from the internet as these are usually very low resolution and any prints carried out using these will not produce a good quality item. There are sites that we use where for a small fee you can purchase high quality images. We can discuss this further with you when you place your order.

What if I don’t have any artwork or it is a poor resolution?

If you have decided on your logo/artwork but do not possess the required high resolution vectorised files that we can work with, we can fix/recreate the artwork/logos for you for an additional design fee. This fee can be discussed on an individual basis as it will depend on the quantity of design time needed.

If it is something more complex, like a logo design from scratch we can put you in touch with graphic designers that we work with who can do this for you. They are all local and will be happy to assist.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

If you are a new customer, we will require a 50% deposit upon confirmation of order. The balance will be payable on completion of the job.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods;

Do you have a minimum order charge?

Yes, our minimum charge is £35.00 + VAT.
This to cover artwork set-up, print costs, finishing, labour & administration.

What is the lead time on orders?

The lead time will depend on your order and the service we will be providing to you. If you have ordered a supply only item such as a banner or vinyl lettering/digital print we can have this ready for you within 5-7 days (dependent on current workload).
For an external Fascia Sign you should expect a lead time of approximately 2-3 weeks from order and design to day of installation. Lead times may vary depending on materials used, the complexity of your signage works and our current production schedule.
We will of course keep you updated whilst we are manufacturing your order.

I need my signage installed on a specific date – are you able to do this?

As long as we are given 4-5 weeks’ notice of the installation date, there should be no reason why we cannot book you in for your preferred installation date. Our main priority here at Chillipepper Signs is to satisfy our customers’ needs and requirements.

Do you provide a delivery service?

We can post your orders for an additional charge, but most customers like to come to collect. Then, in the unlikely event of dissatisfaction, we can try to resolve it sooner.

How long will you need my vehicle for sign writing?

We will agree a date with you beforehand for you to bring your vehicle in for works. We need the vehicle to be clean and free from any wax. (Failure to do so could incur further cleaning charges). We appreciate that company vehicles are an essential part of your business and so will endeavour to apply your livery within a few hours. For the majority of vehicles we will fit the same day.

For vehicle wraps, we need the vehicle for 3 days – one day to prepare the vehicle and begin application, day two to finish application, day 3 to allow the wrap to settle and ensure any imperfections are ironed out.

Weather conditions could affect this timeframe and so we may need to keep your vehicle longer than originally advised. If we require the vehicle for any longer we will of course update you as necessary.

Do you provide supply only?

Yes we can of course provide banners, vinyl lettering, graphics, A-boards, Menus and small internal signage as supply only. But with regards to large external and internal signage we do prefer to carry out the installation ourselves due to health and safety issues and the technical expertise required for installation.

Do you also install signage?

Yes we do. The installation of a sign can be a very complex and technical process. This is why we employ our own installation staff instead of contracting installation duties out elsewhere which many other sign companies will do. This ensures and gives us peace of mind that our signage is installed only by fully trained, industry experts who will always abide by health and safety regulations. Our installers are provided with the latest equipment and receive ongoing workplace training and technical guidance. Our team are CITB, RTITB & PASMA qualified.
